"Astro"
Astro becomes an AKC Champion on October 31, 2008, finishing with 3
major wins, the last, a 5 point major awarded by Judge Edd Bivin!
(at 1 day under 22 months of age)
UKC-BPIS, AKC Champion, UKC-GRCH Zelicaon Shooting Star was born
January 1, 2007. Rick & I traveled to Iowa where the Zelicaon Kennel,
owned by Forrest G. Johnson is located to pick Astro up on Good Friday, April 6,
2007. I should have realized what was in store as I watched Astro squeeze
his way through Forrest's room divider!
Having Astro as a part of our family has certainly provided lots
of entertainment, but also some big challenges. It became so important to
have Astro take part in a puppy kindergarten training class. He is
very athletic, climbing over baby gates and out of x-pens. He's fast too!
Up and over and G O N E ..... racing into the bedroom and under the bed for a
game of Peek-A-Boo! Here is a photo of Astro when I caught his attention
while he was busy digging in the backyard. Doesn't he have gorgeous
butterfly like ears!
Astro is a wonderful example of a Papillon in both temperament and
structure. His accomplishments in the show ring include:

AKC awarded WD, BOW, and Best of Breed!

December 1, 2007 - Astro places first in his class
January 19, 2008 - Dr. Keating
again recognizes Astro's potential and awards him RWD to a major behind "Cobb".
March 9, 2008 - Judge June Penta awards Astro RWD in Auburn
Indiana at the Logansport Kennel Club show.
April 27, 2008 - Judge Ralph Lemeke awards Astro RWD in Birch Run,
Michigan at the Progressive Dog Club show.
May 23, 2008 - Dan Ericsson awards Astro WD, BOW, and Best of
Breed for another point in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
May 24, 2008 - Astro receives RWD from Lester Mapes.
May 25, 2008 - Astro receives RWD from Michael Dachel.
May 26, 2008 - Judge Barbara Dempsey Alderman awards Astro WD,
BOW, and Best of Breed! (2 points)

July 6, 2008 - Mr. William H. Holbrook awards Astro WD and BOW for
Astro's first Major win at Monroe Michigan! (3 points) This was
Astro's first time in the Open Class.

Astro's UKC show ring accomplishments and photos!
Astro is duel registered in both AKC and UKC. We
may take him into Canada and work on a Canadian Champion title.
We are very excited about the qualities Astro brings to our
breeding program. He has a fantastic pedigree with proven champions and
consistent producers of champions. His grandfathers include:
American Champion and Sire of Distinction Ko-Be-Kos Sunday Silence and American
Champion L'Ete Cadaga The Sorcerer (Grandson to the famous American Champion and
Best In Show winner Loteki Supernatural Being, Kirby!)
Astro enjoys playing in the backyard with his rubber
squeaky ball and relaxing a bit.
